Verification of Difference in the identity of art psychotherapists according to the general characteristics, ontological exploration of experts and psychological well-being

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to verify differences in the identity of the art psychotherapist according to general characteristics, the ontological exploration of experts, and the psychological well-being. The subjects of this study were art therapists residing in Ulsan area, who were surveyed from September 2, 2016 to November 18, 2016. Data were analyzed for frequency, t-test and one-way ANOVA using the SPSS 18.0 statistical program. Scheffe's multiple range test was used to test significance at p <.05. The results of the study were as follows: first, there was significant difference in the identity of art psychotherapist according to age, career, and specialty publication experience. Second, there was significant difference in the ontological exploration of the art psychotherapist according to the age, career, specialty publication experience, but there was no difference according to the final educational level. Third, there was significant difference in psychological well-being according to the age, career and specialty publication experience, but the difference according to final educational level was not significant at the significance level of 5%. The result of this study is expected serve as a basic data for the improvement of identity, exploration, and psychological well-being of art therapist.
